ANNEXURE A: SPECIFICATIONS FOR WINDOW FURNISHINGS

Window Furnishings
Any window furnishing that is viewable from the outside of the Building must follow the
specifications detailed in the Rules. The proposal is to limit the colour selection for the
blinds to dark colours. The reasoning is not only to maintain consistency architecturally, the
dark colours in the translucent blinds produce less glare from the interior, hence enhancing
vision though the blinds to the views.

The proposed selection is as follows:

  1. Sunscreen roller blinds (translucent mesh) – equal to mermet ‘e screen’.
manual chain operated or motorised in one of the following colours:
    • Charcoal/grey 3001
    • Charcoal 3030
    • Charcoal bronze 3006
  2. Metal venetians (slim or wide) – equal to faber
Manual chain, wand or motorised in one of the following colours:
    • Faber 0719 (Onyx metallic)
    • Faber 3619 (Black perforated)
    • Faber 0619 (Black satin)
  3. Timber venetians
Manual chain, wand or motorised in one of the following colours:
    • Stained black matt
    • Painted matt black
  4. Blackout roller blinds – equal to mermet ‘flocke’ with ‘dark back’ by Lidi blinds or similar manufacturer.
    Motorised chain or motorised:
    • Any colour internally is acceptable as long as it is equivalent to the Lidi “dark back’.
  5. Drawn curtains
    Hand drawn or motorised:
    • Lining to all curtains to use a liner equivalent to ‘duodrape blackout – black with black coating’.
